Recently, we did our first of hopefully many family style dining weddings. The venue was set at a home in Wake Forrest overlooking a large pond and surrounded by deep green forests. The tent was filled with puffed lanterns and twinkle lights. Each table was set with arrangement of fresh cut flowers we arranged on site along side wedding coordinator Erin McClean. The tables were simply lovely. The menu was an array of fresh vegetables from local farms including Sunny Slope and Duck Run Farms. We arranged each table with overflowing platters and bowls of edamame salad, tomato salad, & summer grilled vegetables. Then we cooked on site and served hot off the grill local organic chicken and fresh talapia. The event was a one in a million. Each table set 10 people and they passed the platters and we kept bringing the food. What a wonderful evening!
So, when you are wondering how to make your next event something to rememeber, you may want to consider family style service. There are no long lines at the buffet or wondering if it's OK to go back for seconds. Make your guests feel like they are sitting at your dining room table and allow the General Store Cafe do the work.

What a great idea! Can't wait to meander the store and enjoy a wonderful meal next month when I move to the area!
